The problem

You have the game. You need the plan.

Whether you are chasing 100 or 75, breaking your number is not about finding a new swing. It is about knowing which holes to attack and which ones to play smart, before you tee off.
Without a plan 93
  • 15 holesBogey
  • 3 holesDouble or worse
  • Pars0

Driver on every tee, fired at every pin. The card paid for every hero shot.

With a Break 90 plan 89
  • 17 holesBogey
  • 1 holePar
  • Doubles0

Same swing. The dangerous holes were marked survive before the round started, played to the fat of the green, and the card held.

Par 72, and a bogey on all eighteen is exactly 90. Breaking it is not a talent problem. It is a planning problem, and planning is the part you can fix tonight.

Every hole gets a color before you tee off

Break X reads the hole, your target score and your tees, then tells you which holes are worth attacking and which ones are only trying to cost you.

Green: attack

The hole gives you room. Take the aggressive line and try to make the score that pulls your round forward.

Yellow: manage

Playable, with something on it worth respecting. Take the middle of the green and walk off with your bogey.

Red: survive

This is a hole that bites. Club down, aim at the safe side, and take the bogey before it takes a seven.

Yardage that already knows the wind

The plays-like number adjusts for wind, elevation, temperature, altitude and your lie, from live weather off your phone, not a generic chart. Your hole plan sits on the same screen, so the distance and the strategy arrive together when it's your turn to hit.

FAQ

Questions, answered

Is it free? Are there ads?

Free to download, with no ads. Scoring, basic stats, and lock-screen Live Activity are always free. Pro adds the GPS rangefinder, Break X strategy, handicap tracking, strokes gained and detailed stats, and starts with a 7-day free trial, so you can try it before you pay.

Will my home course be in there?

You're not limited to famous courses, search for your local course and start scoring. GPS distances and Break X strategy are ready the moment you find it.

Do I need a special sensor, ball, or rangefinder?

No extra hardware. ParPath uses your iPhone's GPS to show your distance to the green, and you log scores with a tap, no club sensors, no ball trackers.

How is this different from a GPS app or rangefinder?

A basic rangefinder gives you one number. ParPath gives you a plays-like distance that adjusts for wind, elevation, temperature, altitude, and your lie, plus a personalized plan for every hole: a target score and an attack, manage, or survive call. You know how to play the shot, not just how far it is.

Won't I be glued to my phone all round?

No. ParPath is built to be fast and easy: scoring takes a tap or two, and your plan and distance sit on one screen. It's designed to keep your head in your round and the view in front of you, not buried in your phone.

Will it slow me down or hold up the group behind me?

No. You set your target and hole-by-hole plan before you tee off, so there's nothing to configure on the course. Logging a score is one tap, and your plan and GPS distance share a screen, so you spend less time fiddling than you would with a paper card.

Can I switch from another golf app?

Anytime, and there's nothing to configure. There's no import from other apps today, so your old rounds stay where they are, but ParPath starts building your handicap and stats from your very first round, and setup takes a minute: pick your course and tee, and you're scoring.

What is strokes gained measured against?

Strokes gained uses Mark Broadie's method, the one the PGA Tour made an official statistic in 2011, and splits your round into putting, approach, off the tee, and around the green. Most apps only compare you to a scratch golfer, which tells a mid-handicapper almost nothing. ParPath also grades you against your own handicap, so the number shows what actually cost you strokes in your game.

Is the handicap official?

The number uses the World Handicap System score-differential formula, the same math your club uses, and it appears after three rounds with 14 or more holes. ParPath is not an authorized handicap provider, so it's for your own tracking rather than posting an official golf handicap. It's an honest read on where your game is, updated every round.

Will it drain my battery over a full round?

ParPath is built to be easy on battery over a full round, and the lock-screen Live Activity lets you check your distance and score without even opening the app. If it's a long day, Low Power Mode works fine.

Is there an Android version?

ParPath is iPhone-only today. On Android or outside the US? Join the waitlist and we'll email you the moment it's ready.
